The Williams AV PLA 90 is part of Williams AV's induction (hearing) loop product line, which broadcasts an electromagnetic audio signal picked up directly by the telecoil built into most hearing aids and cochlear implants. Because the signal is received by the hearing aid itself, loop users need no separate receiver at all, which is why induction loops are widely specified at ticket counters, courtrooms, and worship or meeting spaces for ADA-compliant hearing access. It's sized for counter or small-room use, where a compact amplifier and loop wire cover a single service point or small meeting space.
