The 32G Fiber Channel Host Bus Adapter from QNAP is designed for select NAS enclosures, connects using a PCIe 3.0 x8 interface, and features two SFP+ transceiver ports that support Fiber Channels transfers of 32, 16, and 8 Gb/s, or up to 28.05 Gb/s per port. Using a separately-sold Fiber LC cable, data transfers are effective up to 328'. A low-profile bracket is preinstalled, while full-height and specialized brackets are bundled.

The ES2486dc connects to the JBOD enclosure (EJ1600 v2) through dual-path mini-SAS design and can sustain continuous operations even if a JBOD cable is disconnected.
