Model 923NPPNEK0033N is a pivCLASS SE RKCL40-P Dual Interface Smart Card Reader made by HID Global. Readers in this class are chosen for federal and high-assurance facilities, where the door has to validate a PKI-based identity card rather than simply read a number. An LCD gives the user on-screen prompts at the door. A pigtail lead makes it quick to splice into the reader cable.
