Model 40NKS-T3-0004XR is a Signo 40 Contactless Smartcard Reader made by HID Global. Installed at the entrance, the reader collects the credential and the access panel makes the open-or-deny decision. A pigtail lead makes it quick to splice into the reader cable. The card profile sets which credential types it reads out of the box.
