Built for physical access control, the HID 40NKS-00-0279AF Signo Series Reader 40 Multi-Technology Contactless Smart Card Reader sits beside the door and reads the card or credential a user presents. Readers like this mount at the door, while the access controller makes the unlock decision and logs the event.
