The HID 40NKS-00-00192X is a Signo 40 smart reader for access control systems. An access control reader is mounted at the door and reads the credential a person presents, then sends that data to the access control panel, which decides whether to release the lock. With Bluetooth Low Energy on, the reader can also accept phone-based credentials when mobile access is set up.
