The HID 40KTKS-00-007L6T is a Signo 40T access control keypad reader for access control. Readers like this mount at the door and read a user's card or credential, then pass the data to the access control panel, which decides whether to unlock. The keypad adds PIN entry, so a door can be set to ask for a card, a PIN or both. A mobile-ready reader can also accept a mobile credential on a phone.
