Resideo Releases Updated Tuxedo Touch Security & Smart Home Controller

AUSTIN, Texas — Resideo Technologies (NYSE: REZI) announces the release of its new Tuxedo Touch security and smart home controller.

Featuring a 7” color touchscreen and clear voice notifications of system status, the new Tuxedo Touch controller gives customers intuitive and easy system control, according to the company.

“The new Tuxedo panel offers all the same functionally of the current panel, and offers: a sleeker look and interface; an easier way to upgrade; and, a more cost-effective option. The new Tuxedo panel provides a more cohesive look across our entire portfolio, as it maintains a similar look and feel to the Total Connect end-user app and to our new ProSeries all-in-one platform,” says George Janelis, channel marketing manager at Resideo.

The panel works with 232 Z-Wave Plus devices, such as smart locks, lighting controls, window shades, thermostats and leak detectors.

Resideo says the Tuxedo Touch controller makes it easy to set automated scenes, where an action or event prompts devices in your home to smoothly work together creating the ultimate in convenience and efficiency.

For example, the one step of arming away when you’re leaving can secure the home, close the window shades and set thermostats and lighting.

Users can view up to eight cameras and up to four cameras on a single screen. The touchscreen can also display family images and slideshows.

Dealer-focused features include OTA updates via WiFi, a backplate that enables easy upgrades of already installed 6160 and 6280W keypads and the ability to brand the Touch panel as Honeywell or Resideo.
