The KD-IRC3856 is an IR receiver cable with a pigtail connector, for picking up remote-control commands at the display end of a Key Digital extender or matrix system. It is the small part that makes a system feel finished — without an IR eye somewhere the user can point a remote at, the control path simply is not there.
