The KD-IP1080TX is the transmitter half of Key Digital's HDMI-over-IP system, encoding a source onto the network where any receiver can pick it up. Because routing happens in the network switch rather than a fixed matrix, adding a source later means adding one more encoder — no core hardware to replace.
