The TS-1677X 16-Bay NAS Enclosure from QNAP provides advanced capabilities to help organizations develop cost-efficient, AI-oriented big data storage solutions. Combined with a high-end graphics card (separately sold), SSD caching, and QNAP's "QuAI" AI developed package, the data stored on the TS-1677X can be leveraged to quickly build, train, and optimize AI model-based services, which is beneficial for exploring intelligent services and greater business value.

The TS-1677X is powered by a 3.1 GHz AMD Ryzen 3 1200 Quad-Core processor, which can be overclocked to 3.4 GHz, and 4GB of DDR4 RAM, which can be upgraded to 64GB. Network connectivity is achieved using the four Gigabit Ethernet ports and two 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, which support failover, multi-IP settings, port trunking, and NIC teaming. The 10GbE ports can also drive file transfers with sequential reads of up to 2373 MB/s and sequential writes up to 2224 MB/s. A 40GbE network card can be installed in one of the three PCIe slots, as can M.2 SSDs, 10GbE cards, graphics cards, and wireless network cards.

This 16-bay enclosure has 12 drive bays that can natively house both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA III hard drives or SSDD, plus four 2.5" SATA III drive bays that use SSDs for caching with auto tiering that continuously tiers files and data based on their access frequency. Using the seven 5 Gb/s USB 3.0 Type-A ports and one USB 3.0 Type-C port, this QNAP NAS can be connected to other QNAP devices, including UX-800P, UX-500P, and REXP-1000 Pro expansion enclosures. Additionally, the TS-1677X is validated with AES-NI and FIPS 140-2 AES 256-bit encryption, helping to prevent sensitive business data from unauthorized access and breaches.

QNAP has engineered this NAS to support JBOD and single disk modes, plus a variety of RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60, each of which offer data redundancy, speed, or a combination of both. It operates using a 550W power supply and includes two Ethernet cables, a power cord, flat head screws for 2.5" HDDs, and flat head screws for M.2 SSDs. Protection is provided by a limited 3-year warranty.
