The Barracuda F12 uses priority level security. But it also gets high marks for value, ease of deployment / management, advanced threat detection, and support. With a CloudGen firewall, you can manage policies from a single firewall device. And you can get live monitoring on what is happening with the devices. CloudGen firewalls also reduce the amount of spam that can pass through the network.

The Barracuda F12 gives you full user and group awareness, Advanced Threat Protection (incl. sandboxing), built-in web security and IDS/IPS and full SD-WAN capabilities.

Firewalling, IPS, URL filtering, dual antivirus and application control take place directly in the data path. More resource-intensive tasks like sandboxing — for protecting against ransomware—are seamlessly integrated in the cloud. All CloudGen Firewall platforms and models provide the same level of security, maintaining maximum security from branch offices to headquarters.

The Barracuda F12 reaches 1.2 Gbps of Firewall Throughput and 230 Mbps of Threat Protection Throughput. It manages 250 Mbps of NGFW Throughput, 400 Mbps of IPS Throughput, and 220 Mbps of SD-WAN Throughput. It also runs 80,000 Concurrent Sessions, with a recommended concurrent user count of 5-75 people.
