Shure ULXD4 Single-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver (H50: 534 to 598 MHz)

Part of the ULX-D wireless series, the Shure ULXD4 houses a single digital receiver in a rugged half-rack unit with an external power supply.

The ULX-D Series simplifies the set up and management of large numbers of wireless systems. It is ideal for professional sound reinforcement applications in large live venues and houses of worship, as well as A/V installations in conference, educational, and corporate facilities. Compatible with a wide selection of Shure transmitters and mic capsules, it delivers pristine 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio, capturing every detail with clarity, accurate low end, and crisp transient response.

The ULX-D operates in the UHF band, utilizing Digital Predictive Switching Diversity to protect the transmission from interference, delivering rock-solid RF signal stability without audio artifacts. In Standard mode you can run up to 17 channels per 6 MHz TV channel, at a range up to 330'. Alternatively, the High-Density mode lets you run up to 47 channels per 6 MHz TV channel, at a maximum range of 98'. The system offers AES-256 encryption for security.

The unit features audio and RF meters, 60 dB of gain control, and both XLR and 1/4" outputs. A large LCD screen and intuitive controls let you quickly make adjustments, even in low-light situations. Additional features include automatic frequency scanning, IR sync, gain optimization to match any input source, and internal limiting to prevent clipping.

The Ethernet port allows multiple receivers to be easily networked together for simplified frequency coordination and deployment via Shure's Wireless Workbench software. In addition, the Channels Mobile App enables you to control the system remotely from an iOS device.

Shure WL184 Supercardioid Lavalier Microphone with TA4F Connector (Black)

The black Shure WL184 is a lavalier microphone with a supercardioid pickup pattern well suited to a wide variety of instruction, presentation, broadcast, and film/video applications, especially when using monitors and loudspeakers. The mic features a TA4F connector compatible with Shure wireless transmitters.

The WL184 lav filters out unwanted low frequencies below 50 Hz and sharp highs in the range above 17 kHz to provide clear, intelligible speech for instructors, journalists, and presenters doing interviews, voiceovers, and dialog. The microphone capsule can handle SPL levels up to 129.5 dB, while the supercardioid polar pattern focuses audio capture on the talent in a tight 115° pick-up angle in front of the mic. This pattern picks up substantially less background sound, helping to keep feedback problems under control when using monitors and sound-reinforcement gear.

This electret condenser microphone features a 4’ cable and is optimized for a 5 VDC power source, but can operate on 1.5 to 10 VDC available through the TAFM connector on a Shure wireless bodypack transmitter or similar compatible device. A snap-fit windscreen and a smaller foam windscreen are included, along with a modular lapel clip that offers 90° rotation for optimal mic placement. A single-mount lapel clip and a double-mount lapel clip are also provided.

A Supercardioid Lavalier with an Interchangeable Capsule Design
Supercardioid Polar Pattern
The mic's supercardioid polar pattern picks up sound in directly front of the capsule at a narrow 115° angle for substantially less background sound. This helps you eliminate feedback from monitors and loudspeakers during your events.
Replaceable Mic Capsule
The modular design allows you to replace the WL184 supercardioid capsule with a WL185 cardioid or WL183 omnidirectional capsule (both available separately) if the application requires it.
Headroom for Standard Vocal Applications
The WL184 is designed to handle up to 129.5 dB SPL without distorting, providing headroom for broadcast-quality interviews, speech, and dialog.
Frequency Response Tailored for Speech
With a frequency range from 50 Hz to 17 kHz, the mic filters out unnecessary high and low frequencies for accurate and transparent speech reproduction.
