Your central music hub
If you're somebody who needs lots of inputs and outputs for your audio gear, JVC made their KD-T915BTS CD receiver for folks just like you, with multiple connections for smartphones (wired or wirelessly), digital music players, and amplifiers. You may notice a dedicated button on the front panel — Amazon Alexa gives you voice control over your music and much more. JVC dressed up this receiver by letting you customize the button and accent lighting on its front panel. They also back up this receiver with a 2-year warranty.
Alexa voice control
After you load the Alexa app onto your phone and pair your phone to this JVC receiver, simply press the dedicated "Alexa" button on the faceplate, and you can access music, audiobooks, news, weather, traffic, and smart home controls using your voice.
This JVC gives you all kinds of radio options, with controls for Spotify®, Pandora®, SiriusXM (optional satellite radio tuner and subscription required). You can play and charge your iPhone® through the front-panel USB port, while you check out a USB drive filled with high-res FLAC files (up to 24-bit/96kHz) through the rear USB port. Android™ users, you can control and play music using Bluetooth®. JVC rounds out the connectivity with a front aux input for a portable music player. If you're into local radio stations and CDs (many of us still are), this receiver can handle that too.
Wireless too!
Bluetooth® is the norm for wireless phone functionality these days. The KD-T915BTS lets you pair two Bluetooth-equipped phones and quickly switch between them for hands-free calling. You can also stream music, audiobooks, and podcasts from the phone that's active. JVC also added a little fun to audio streaming with their Streaming DJ feature — pair five phones so everybody can pick their tunes for the ultimate road trip playlist. Bluetooth also lets you control this stereo directly from your iPhone® or Android™ phone by downloading JVC's free Remote app.
Customize, tweak, and expand
Remember when there were just bass and treble settings? Now you can refine your sound with the onboard 13-band graphic equalizer and digital time alignment — a great option to fix the off-center seating position in a vehicle. If you're listening to MP3 files and Bluetooth audio, you'll dig the way that JVC's K2 technology spruces up the sound of compressed digital music.
As its name implies, the Sound Lift feature adjusts your music's frequencies to virtually "raise" your speakers, since they're usually low in the doors, for more natural imaging. Three sets of 5-volt preamp outputs provide a super-clean signal for adding amplifiers to your system for greater clarity and punch.
This receiver's 2-line white display provides all your music and caller info, while its variable-color illumination lets you pick the colors on two areas of the display. The Music Sync feature even lets the lights bop along to your music.
Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver's Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone's Bluetooth capabilities.
iPod/smartphone note: If you're going to use your iPod or smartphone with this receiver, be sure to check "Details" for compatibility information.
